Carolyn Ives

Carolyn Ives
Coordinator, Learning and Faculty Development

Carolyn Ives holds an MA in English (University of Saskatchewan) and is a former faculty member in English at MacEwan University and in English and Modern Languages at Thompson Rivers University. Her work shifted to educational development in recent years through her roles as Academic Integrity Officer and then Curriculum Planning and Development Coordinator at MacEwan. Her professional interests include curricular integration of sustainability, diversity, and academic integrity; outcomes creation and assessment; the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL); and Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR).


Paul Martin

Paul Martin
Director of Curriculum Development and Delivery

Paul Martin is the Director of Curriculum Development and Delivery in TRU’s Division of Open Learning. Prior to joining TRU in 2019, he served as Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Marquette University, Faculty Development Coordinator at MacEwan University, and Assistant Professor of English and Director of the Canadian Studies Program at the University of Vermont. In the years since attending his first Great Teachers Seminar in 2011, Paul has led or helped facilitate Great Teachers Seminars in Alberta, Texas, Ontario, and Wisconsin.
