Mark your Calendars! Job Fair 2022 will take place on March 2 and 3, 2022.

Career & Experiential Learning is proud to present the annual TRU Job Fair! This annual event is not only one of the largest at a post-secondary institution in the BC Interior, it’s one of the leading job fairs in the province.

Community, provincial and national organizations are recruiting students and new graduates from every program area - Arts, Business, Education, Fine Arts, Health, Journalism, Science, Social Work, Tourism, and Trades - for volunteer opportunities, part-time work, summer employment and full-time roles.

This event provides a platform for students to network, access employment and volunteer opportunities, and learn more about careers in health, IT, finance and banking, accounting, tourism, trades. Job Fair Networking

Synopsis: Networking through a Job Fair is a unique experience — you have the chance to connect with many employers at once, and to hone your networking skills. Learn how to work the room and Network at the TRU Job Fair at this workshop.

Career Fair Tips: Before, During and After

Disclosing a Disability to an Employer

Presenter: Jennifer Mei

Synposis: In my experience as a social worker and career practitioner, one of the most common concerns that people with disabilities and/or mental health have is related to disclosure and requesting workplace accommodations. This workshop provides answers to 4 key questions aimed at addressing these concerns.

  1. What is a disability? – Explore how you define and experience disability.
  2. Should I disclose? – Things consider before you choose to disclose a disability.
  3. When and how should I disclose? – Tips for when and how to disclose a disability.
  4. What if I need accommodations? – Legal aspects and how to request accommodations.
