FRAN 1110 Introductory French 1 (3,0,1)(L)

Students begin the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) A1 level to develop cultural knowledge and communicative skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing in modern standard French. Students are assumed to have no prior knowledge of French.
Note: Students who have completed Grade 11 French or equivalent within the last two full years may NOT take this course for credit unless approved by the Modern Languages Coordinator. Students with high school French immersion may NOT take this course for credit. Fluent or first-language speakers of French may NOT take this course for credit. Students may only receive credit for one of FRAN 1110, FRAN 1310, FREN 1000 or FREN 1001.
