Credits: 3 credits
Students explore the practices of reading and writing in scholarly contexts. Students read and analyze scholarlyjournal articles from a variety of disciplines and also develop their abilities to compose in the genres and sub-genresof scholarly writing, including incorporating research and documentation in a grammatically correct style.
Prerequisite: English 12 or English 12 First Peoples with a minimum of 73% (with the government exam within the last 5 years) or equivalent.
Note: students cannot receive credit for both ENGL 1100 and ENGL 1101
