The General BBA is designed for students who do not wish to specialize in a specific area of business, but instead would like to take a wider array of courses to provide greater breadth in their management education. Many positions in business require the varied skills that a generalist can offer, so choosing the General BBA can be a wise choice especially for those students whose interests lie in a number of different areas.
Students must complete at least 24 credits (normally eight courses) of 3000- or 4000-level business or ECON courses in addition to the core requirements in Years 3 and 4.
Business courses include those beginning with the ACCT, BLAW, MIST, ENTR, FNCE, HRMN, IBUS, MKTG, MNGT, ORGB, SCMN, or BUSN acronyms. Students in the double degree in business and computing can also include up to 24 credits of COMP courses.
