Garden Railroading combines two favorite hobbies - model railroading and gardening. A well-designed garden railway creates an atmosphere of realism far beyond what is possible with a traditional indoor layout. Where the indoors layout relies on artificial materials - mountains are made of plaster, rivers are made of plastic resin, the outdoors layout is created with natural materials such as of dirt and stone, and rivers run with water. This course will provide information on planning and design, blue print reading, basic carpentry skills, laying track and wiring.
