Community Resources

Many Students attending TRU are living in Kamloops for the first time. Therefore, they are not aware of the vast resources available to them in the community. The following is information on nutrition resources in Kamloops and how to access them.

TRUSU Food Bank

The TRU Student Union operates a food bank year-round from their office. Non-perishable food items are available for students and their families. If you have any questions or want to know hours of operation, please contact the TRUSU at 372-5882.

Community Kitchens

This program works with individuals to purchase and prepare nutritious meals for themselves and their families. Anyone who has the desire to have a great time, meet new people, learn new things and save money on meals is welcome to utilize the community kitchen. Groups contact Vera Deoll and she will aid with purchasing and preparing the meal of the groups choosing.
