Call For Papers

The WCCCE is a forum for those interested in computing education to share information on program and curriculum development as well as innovative strategies and tools for teaching computer-related courses.

The 2007 Conference Committee is soliciting papers, posters, demonstrations and proposals for panels in a broad range of topics related to computer science, computer technology and information systems education.

Papers can describe teaching strategies, research projects, or instructional tools and applications. Panels can present multiple perspectives on a single topic. Posters can describe teaching materials or works in progress.

Possible topic areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Post secondary programs and curricula
  • New or experimental curricula at any level
  • Teaching methods and tools for specific concepts or courses
  • Materials for specific concepts or courses
  • General methods and tools for computer related courses
  • Gender or ethnicity issues in computer education
  • Methods, tools and effective structures of designing and teaching computer labs
  • Applications for distance and/or distributed learning
  • Multimedia applications for computer education
  • Issues pertaining to enrollment, retention, and experiential learning

Submission Deadlines

Extended abstract (4 page maximum, 1 page preferred)

March 16, 2007 (Friday)
Acceptance notification

March 30, 2007 (Friday)
Final papers due
