Judith Murray, Vice-President, Open Learning

Thompson Rivers University is a leader in open, distance and on-line education in Canada. Building on the legacy of the British Columbia Open University and Open College, the Open Learning Division of Thompson Rivers University has been providing open and distance education for more than 30 years.

 Judith Murray was appointed Vice-President, Open Learning in September 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University and a Master of Arts degree from Mount Saint Vincent University, and has more than 20 years of education management experience, including 13 years of experience in the public post-secondary sector. The Vice-President, Open Learning reports directly to the President of TRU and is responsible for the general academic direction and fiscal management of the University’s open and distance programs and initiatives. Please see Open Learning Organizational Structure for more information.
