Construction Craft Worker
This fully funded Construction Craft Worker Level 1 (CCW) recognizes the high level of abilities required to perform work in the construction industry as a skilled labourer. Major construction and earth works companies have a strong demand for entry-level employees with the skill set provided in this course. The CCW program introduces you to the skills, training and knowledge needed to gain employment as construction craft workers in any heavy construction and resource industry.
March 6 to May 5
Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Who is eligible?
You are eligible if:
- Aboriginal and/or youth (ages 15-29)
- You are unemployed, non-EI-eligible; or employed, underemployed (less than 20 hours per week); or employed, low-skilled
Priority will be given to unemployed, non-EI-eligible applicants.
Applicants must have a valid BC driver’s license (Class 5, 7N), have successfully completed Grade 10 Mathematics and have a strong interest in working in the trades.
This fully-funded program includes tuition, personal protective equipment, tools and books. Students are responsible for their individual living expenses.
