Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (XDRV 0630)
April 20 - 22 Fri 6–10 pm, Sa/Su 8 am–5 pm $395 (incl all texts & manual)
All mechanics involved in auto and commercial vehicle inspections must have successfully completed a training program and the provincial exam. Prerequisite: TQ or an I/P in Automotive, Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport.
CFC/HCFC/HFC Control Course (XENV 0500)
May 11 - 12 Fri 6 - 10 pm, Sat 8 - 10 am $160 (incl text and exam) (6 hrs)
Upon successful completion, students will receive an Environment Canada’s certificate as well as a certificate number for refrigerant handling.
Vehicle Air Conditioning Repair & CFC/HCFC/HFC Control Course (XATO 0730)
May 11 - 12 Fri 6 - 10 pm, Sat 8 am - 5 pm $295 (incl all texts and exam) (12 hrs)
This course will cover the following topics for air conditioning systems in vehicles: principles of heat, basic air conditioning systems (all products including heavy duty equipment), components and their function, system services and repair of disabled systems. Upon successful completion, students will also receive an Environment Canada's certificate as well as a certificate number for refrigerant handling. Heavy Duty "Red-Seal" Enhanced Assessment
The Industry Training Authority of BC is offering a new enhanced assessment allowing qualified challengers new ways to demonstrate their skills, beyond the written exam, while maintaining the high standards we expect for trades certification in British Columbia. Challengers must have a minimum of 9000 hours of direct heavy duty mechanic's experience. Call (250) 371-5658 for more information.
Commercial Transport Mechanic “Red-Seal” Exam Preparation Course (XMEC 0490)
Continuous Entry $795 (test and texts extra)
This distance course is designed to assist commercial transport mechanics wanting to challenge the “Red Seal” exam. In order to attempt the exam, written proof of 8910 hours of direct work experience in the trade is required.
