Application of Electrical Codes and Standards Course (XELC 0630)

New 2012 Canadian Electrical Code Book course. This course is designed for qualified electricians who may want to write the Safety Authority provincial exam to attain their Field Site Representative status / Contractors License (A, B, C ticket). Those wanting a code refresher or who do not meet the prerequisites and do not plan to write the exam may also enroll.

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) – Level 1 (XELC 0670)
February 24 - March 10 Fri 6:30 - 9:30 pm, Sat 8 am - 3:30 pm $625 (30 hrs)
This course is designed to introduce electricians, as well as those who are familiar with conventional motor control theory, to the basic operating principles and various field applications of Programmable Logic Controllers. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) – Level 2 (XELC 0770)
April 20 - May 12 Fri 6:30-9:30 pm, Sat 8 am – 3:30 pm $775 (40 hrs)
The course is an extension of the PLC Level 1 course and is directed towards individuals that have a basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and are able to design circuits that use standard instructions such as timers and counters. This course moves onto more advanced instructions that include math, compare, move, program control and several other instructions found in industrial applications. The student will be challenged to create PLC programs that operate a conveyor system as well as an analog liquid level control system. Industrial Electrician “Red-Seal” Exam Preparation Course (XELC 0790)
On-line Delivery or Classroom Session Available $795 (60 hrs)
This course is designed to assist industrial electricians wishing to challenge the “Red Seal” exam. In order to attempt the exam, written proof of 9000 hours of direct experience in the trade is required.
