The World Masters...

From March 1-7, 2010 our TMGT 207 Staging Events students created, planned and executed 5 themed pub nights and a huge gala event for the World Masters Indoor Championships. The gala saw 800+ attendees and featured a fully catered social evening complete with an igloo entrance, a polar ice bar, and duelling pianos amongst other decor and special effects. Far from the usual in-class theory, this project allowed the students to work directly with a real-life and real-time client under real-life pressures and setbacks. The students excelled and the event was a major success!
