This certificate program is designed to develop the guiding and instructional skills needed to work in technical rock terrain. This includes long, multi-pitch routes; sport-climbs; and top-rope climbs on terrain where no glaciation and no permanent or seasonal snow or ice exists.

The Assistant Rock Guide course is also a prerequisite for the Alpine Guide Certificate.

This program requires a strong technical rock climbing background in a variety of rock types and climbing disciplines.

Students may achieve Assistant or Full Rock Guide certification.
