Level 3 Climbing Gym Instructor

To enter the Level 3 Program you must have extensive experience as a Level 2 Instructor. You then apply to the CGI Technical Committee to apprentice on the Level 1 and 2 Courses. Successful candidates will be awarded the Level 3 Certificate.

• Proof of a current Standard First Aid course and CPR certificate
• A letter of recommendation from the Climbing Gym Instructor Technical Committee
• A work experience resume that shows:
  • Thirty hours of instruction work (after Level 2 certification)
  • Experience working in at least two gyms
  • Outdoor rock experience including 15 top sport climbing flashes on rock (minimum 5.11-)
