In addition to the numerous concurrent conference sessions, keynotes and workshops, there are several pre-conference activities, excursions, and events of note. These include:

- Pre-conference Symposia/Workshops across a range of topics
- Excursions and tours to places of interest in Kamloops and region
- The Conference Gala Dinner and Dance with food, special recognitions, fun, entertainment and live music
- Wine and Ale tasting with appetizer pairings

- Lunch, coffee and snacks are included in conference registration fees and will also be provided at the Graduate Students Symposia and the Pre-conference Symposia.
