- The Aboriginal Mentor Program is designed to assist new incoming students (1st and 2nd year) with a successful transition into Thompson Rivers University. If a new student would like to participate in the program, they will be matched to a Mentor who has gone through the Mentor Training so they will be better able to help the new student to be more successful in their transition. The mentoring will be on a one-to-one basis so that it is focused on each individual’s circumstances. The program is supported by the Aboriginal Mentor Coordinator (Vernie Clement) in The Gathering Place (House 5). If you are interested or have any questions please contact the Coordinator at 250.371.7838 or email vclement@tru.ca.
