Respiratory Therapy Application

Application Deadlines:  

Diploma/BHSc Degree:  Mar 31
Fast-track option:  Jan 31


Application Procedure for Diploma and Dual Credential (RT diploma and degree)

Prospective students must submit a completed application form together with all required documentation. Application deadline for a September entry into the program is March 31 (applications may be submitted to TRU from Oct 1 - Mar 31). If all the documentation is not available at the time of application submission, then the applicant should indicate that in the form of a letter, as to why not. If some of the required documentation is in progress, the applicant must submit those documents once they are available. The application should include evidence of meeting all program prerequisites. A complete application is required. Applicants will be notified by the end of April in writing of their status.

Note: Acceptance is conditional based on receipt of final grades.

Application Procedure for Fast-Track Option of the RT Diploma Program

Students applying for the Fast-track option of the RT Diploma program must submit a completed application form together with all required documentation. The application form is the same for all applicants, except that the Fast-track applicant will fill out the following under Name of Program:  Respiratory Therapy (Fast-Track); Start Term:  Fall semester, Entry Year:  Year 2.  Application deadline for a September entry into the program is Jan 31 (applications may be submitted to TRU from Oct 1 - Jan 31). If all the documentation is not available at the time of application submission, then the applicant should indicate that in the form of a letter, as to why not. If some of the required documentation is in progress, the applicant must submit those documents once they are available. The application should include evidence of meeting all program prerequisites. A complete application is required. Applicants will be notified (by the end of February) in writing of their status.
