First Year Engineering Transfer (Degree Program)
TRU offers the full first year of Engineering degree studies. Students will normally enter first year TRU Engineering studies from high school although entry after completion of a year of university science studies is also possible. After successful completion of first year, TRU engineering students commonly transfer to UBC or UVic to complete their degrees. TRU engineering students have also transferred successfully to programs outside of BC in the past.
Rewarding career opportunities in engineering are on the rise as the national demand for engineering graduates continues to grow. Do you enjoy mathematics, sciences, and their applications to solving real life problems? If so, you should seriously consider studies in this fascinating field.
Completing 1st year engineering at TRU leads to completion of degrees in civil, chemical, electrical, computer, mechanical, mining, geological, geo-technical, software, engineering physics, and other engineering specialities at receiving institutions such as UBC and UVic.
Through formal articulation agreements, our 1st year engineering program is considered equivalent to those of both UBC and UVic. After successfully completing first year engineering at TRU, students apply and compete on equal footing with other students for a 2nd year engineering speciality at either institution.
TRU is currently accepting applications for our 1st year engineering studies beginning in September.
