Welcome to the

Computer Systems: Operations and Management (CSOM)

The Computing Science department at Thompson Rivers University administers a 2 year diploma program called CSOM (Computer Systems: Operations & Management). CSOM is accredited by the Canadian Information Processing Society. CSOM emphasizes the application of computers to the solution of business related problems. The academic training combines technical and computer skills with communication skills (written and oral) and business skills. A commitment to professionalism is an essential characteristic of CSOM.

Students are selected for Co-op on the basis of academic performance. Co-op students on all work terms are immediately productive in a variety of jobs including:

  • Systems Analysis and Design
  • Network Administration
  • Client Support
