The Faculty of Science is involved in number of events that take place on an annual basis. Click on each of the following topics for more information.
High School Chemistry Contest
The chemistry department offers a contest involving annual written tests, based on the BC curriculum for Chemistry 11 and 12 students. All Chemistry 11 and Chemistry 12 students are invited to participate.

Poster Day
Each year, upper level science students who have been working on research or projects at TRU are required to participate in a poster presentation day. Projects and presentation are judged by a team of professors and students and then graded based on the outcome.
The next poster day is scheduled for April 2010.
Regional Science Fair
Each year, Thompson Rivers Univeristy hosts the Cariboo-Mainline Regional Science Fair in the TRU gymnasium.
Students from Elementary and High Schools throughout the region submit their Science projects. This is a busy 3 day event with registration taking place on day 1, judging, tours, activities, dinner and swimming on day 2, science presentation/demonstrations and awards ceremony on day 3. Several of the top projects are selected to go on to the Canada Wide Fair to be held in Nova Scotia in 2007.
