Safety Forms, Guides & Protocols for Faculty

Please refer to the following documents to guide you when you are orienting new employees, working in the field, working alone, or using toxic or biohazardous materials.

Biohazard Application Form This form is to be completed prior to use of potentially biohazardous mateials in lab sessions or research activities.

Field Trip Planning Guide The Field Trip Planning Guide is a necessary document that needs to be completed before taking a class, group or individual on a domestic or international field trip.

Safety Training Checklist New employees This form is intended to be used for all new employees in Science.

Toxic Reduction Protocol This protocol has been developed in response to the updated toxicology information on formaldehyde and naphthalene and concerns about their impact on human health. This protocol applies to all research and teaching in the Science and Health Sciences Department at TRU as of September 1st, 2008.

Working Alone Protocol The Working Alone Protocol provides specific guidelines for TRU Faculty of Science employees and students according to Worksafe BC.
