How to Get Started in Research as an Undergraduate


No matter what your discipline, there are opportunities at TRU for you to engage in independent research and artistic inquiry. 

How do I get started?

It can be difficult, particularly in the early years of your degree, to know how to get started in research. Here are some suggestions:
  • View your first and second years as your preparation.
    This is the time to make sure you are laying the foundation for a research career. Remember, your grades may not seem important now, but they will matter later when you want to apply for scholarships, so work to keep them solid!
  • Pay attention to what gets your attention!
