Clearwater

TRU and The North Thompson Community Skills Centre co-exist at 751 Clearwater Village Road. Under this joint partnership both credit and non-credit part-time vocational courses are offered. The centre is a multi-media learning facility aimed at providing and brokering job related training and retraining for local citizens.

Services provided include TRU and other post-secondary entrance and assessment exams, application forms for financial assistance, calendars, admission applications, information on distance learning education courses, ABE Upgrading, GED preparation courses, applications and exams.

A wide variety of courses are offered through the centre, including Literacy, First Aid, Health & Safety, Trades & Technology, Forestry, Computing, and General Interest courses.

The coordinator is available to discuss your interests and training needs.

Co-housed in the Centre is the Clearwater Employment Services, Wells Gray Country Services Coordinator, North Thompson Economic Development Officer, Wage Subsidy Program, Cowie Consulting, Koininia Consulting, Community Futures, Trusted 3rd Party for the Ministry of Human Resources, Business Name Approval Request, OneStop Business Registration, Wells Gray Marketing Coordinator, Greg Mohart Computer Consulting, and The Thompson Nicola Referral & Assessment Services.
