Returns
If you are dissatisfied with items you have received from an off-campus vendor, the items to be returned should be sent to the Central Stores warehouse with a completed Return of Goods
form. Simply phone Central Stores at local 5383 if you would like us to pick up the items for return or if you wish, bring the items to the warehouse yourself.
Please return inadequate or defective goods within a reasonable length of time. Many vendors and distributors have strict, often time related policies regarding their acceptance of returned goods. Remember, most warranties and guarantees are also time related so do not delay seeking repairs on equipment still under warranty.
Repairs
You may recall that all goods shipped off-campus must be sent through the Central Stores warehouse. This includes equipment requiring repairs. Such items must be sent to Central Stores with a Service Requisition
outlining the problem. In addition, a Web Requisition should be filled out, coded and approved. The Web Req will state the maximum amount of money your department is willing to spend on repairing the item. You might also mention on the requisition, who you would recommend to do the repairs if you have a preference.
