Plumber Apprenticeship

Highlights

The four levels of plumbing apprenticeship training are offered, as well as the two levels of the gas-fitting apprenticeship. Fourth year students are given instruction in natural gas code and installation and can acquire a Class GBEE gas-fitters licence as well as their interprovincial plumbing trades qualification.

Careers

Plumbers install, alter and repair the systems that keep water and waste disposal systems running, and that provide many basic amenities. They read and interpret blueprints and project specifications. Plumbers also select the type and size of pipe required for a project and measure, shape and join pipes according to specifications.

Admission Requirements

Limited admission

You must be indentured in this trade and hold a valid ITA-ID number. Currently there are waitlists for all apprenticeship programs. Adding your name to the waitlist is free and you will be contacted when your name comes up.
