Assisted Leave

The Assisted Leave Fund is a negotiated benefit for full time faculty of the UCCFA with the sum total being 1.25% of the amount budgeted for full-time salaries. (Article 12 of the UCCFA Collective Agreement).   Of this total amount, the Assisted Leave Committee allocates approximately 2/3 of the funds for long-term leave, 1/6 for special projects and 1/6 for travel and conference. These percentages may vary depending on the requests received.   Decisions are made according to seniority, the quality of the application, the amount requested, whether support has been received previously, and the level of expressed support for the proposal. Every effort is being made to ensure it is allocated in a fair and equitable manner.   See "Assisted Leave" for further information on application deadlines, criteria, etc.
