Career Options

Graduates from the BSN program can work in a variety of health care settings in community and in institutions.  As a member of the College or Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CNRBC), graduates can apply to the regulating body in other jurisdictions in Canada for registration.  Those wishing to work outside Canada may be required to write a registration examination.  In 2010 the starting salry for an RN in a B.C. hospital was $29.89/hour.

Next Steps

Graduates of the BSN program can continue their education to obatin a Masters degree and a PHD.  These additional degrees are required for faculty positions in University Schools of Nursing.
