The TRU School of Nursing, Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Medical Institute, with the support of Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) were involved with a four year project which involved Nepalese registered nurses to attend TRU for a semester to enhance clinical skills and leadership and management skills and TRU students and faculty practice in the Dhulikhel and Banepa communities to strengthen their nursing skills in hospitals and community clinics. Though we maintain strong ties and ongoing communication with our Nepalese nursing colleagues, we suspended offering this practicum opportunity due to political unrest.
