Chase may be a small village in the B.C. Interior, but its residents love their hockey.  Of the community’s 2,400 people, hundreds come out to every game played by their team, the Chase Chiefs.

Formed only three years ago, in 2007, the Chiefs are already a fixture in Chase.

The Chiefs are a junior B hockey club in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. Players, parents, staff, volunteers and community members alike all love the Chiefs.

Though relatively new in the hockey world, the Chief’s fans already have traditions, including the Tomahawk Chop, a song and chopping motion triumphantly accompanying every goal made by the Chiefs.

One thing is for sure, the atmosphere in Chase is perfect for hockey.
