Library Services for Faculty & Staff:
Feature Film License

TRU has licensing agreements with Audio-Cine and Criterion, which represent approximately 80% of the feature film market. This licence allows TRU faculty and staff to borrow feature films from Rogers, Blockbusters, etc... and show the film in the classroom. The purpose of this licence is to allow Feature Films to be shown in a classroom setting in association with a course or lecture. Non-classroom showings (i.e. "movie nights", social events, etc..) are strictly forbidden.

If the video is not available from a video rental store, Audio-Cine and Criterion can be reached through their toll free numbers. If they own the distribution rights, shipment can be arranged. It is the responsibility of the individual staff member or faculty/department to cover the cost of the rental, shipment, etc...

NOTE: The user is responsible for checking to see if the film they want to show is covered by this licence agreement. Please contact Audio-Cine and Criterion to see if they hold the distribution rights for the film.
