| How do I get a library card? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Members of the community wishing to borrow material from
the TRU Library can obtain a "community card" for an annual
fee of $25. Community members are required to fill
out a form and show proof of identification.
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| What materials and services are available to community borrowers? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Community members are entitled to borrow materials from the TRU campus library from where the community card is initially purchased. TRU Interlibrary/intralibrary loan service is not available for community patrons. Article databases and other licensed resources are purchased for the exclusive use of TRU Faculty, Staff and Students. Due to licensing restrictions, remote access for community borrowers is prohibited. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My library account has expired. What do I do? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The expiry date of the card is one year from the issue date. If you wish to extend your borrowing privileges, come into the library to purchase another year's worth of access. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| What is my library PIN? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| When checking out materials, ask the library clerk for your library PIN (Personal Identification Number). This will allow you to renew your own materials, check the status of your holds, and see when your materials are due back...all online! It is a good idea to change your PIN to something that is easy for you to remember. You PIN can be a combination of letters and numbers. Be aware that our automated system is case-sensitive. (i.e. the password "shadow1" is not the same as "Shadow1" or "SHADOW1"). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
