As a new employee IT Services has provided you with the following personal accounts and access to other computer resources and tools can be found at http://www.tru.ca/its

Contact the IT Service Desk at 250-852-6800 or ITServiceDesk@tru.ca for your Novell Network and myTRU accounts and passwords.

Novell Network, Wireless, and Remote Access Accounts

  • Provides you with login access to the TRU Novell Network.
  • The same username and password can be used for TRU, Eduroam Wireless network, and TRU Remote Access 
  • Provides you with an F:\drive which is your private personal network space to save data.
  • Provides you with access to the P:\drive which is a public shared network drive that can be accessed by all TRU staff.
  • If you require access to departmental, special network drives, or other applications, have your Supervisor complete an Applications and Systems Access Request (ASAR) form. More information about applications is available on our web site.

GroupWise email account

  • Email account format – "username"@tru.ca
  • Access webmail at: gwweb.tru.ca
  • Access the Ecom staff list folder where you can find job postings, current events both on campus and in the community, and classifieds. To submit an item, send an email to staff@tru.ca
  • Access your group list (Ecom CUPE list, Ecom Faculty list, or Ecom Admin list). Contact the IT Service Desk if you do not have access to your specific list.

myTRU Portal - mytru.ca

  • Find important campus announcements.
  • Submit your time sheets every two weeks.
  • Check your pay stub information, leave balances, and manage your personal information and benefits.
  • Purchase items online using the Web Requisition function.
  • Time sheet approval.
  •  Access financial information through FAST, as well as other applications.

iPrint – Printing to a network Printer

Go to Printing to install your network printer onto your campus computer.

Learning Management Systems – Blackboard or Moodle

There are two options available for Learning Management Systems, complete with training.

Phones and Voicemail

  • On campus calls are 4-digit dialing.

Telbook

Computers

A leased computer is provided to each TRU on- campus employee. These computers are replaced every three years. You will be advised in advance when your computer is scheduled for replacement. Information can be found at Supported Hardware.
