Learning Management Systems (LMS) at TRU
Introduction
TRU currently has two LMS systems:
http://blackboard.tru.ca - Blackboard Campus Edition (CE) - Used by instructors in the classroom
Faculty - If you need a Blackboard account, have your supervisor submit an ASAR form requesting a Blackboard account. http://www.tru.ca/its/hdesk/accessrequestlform.html
http://moodle.tru.ca - Moodle – Used by instructors in the classroom.

How to log into Blackboard
- Go to http://blackboard.tru.ca
- If it’s your first time, click check browser in the upper right hand corner, it will give you a list of things that need to be corrected (red X). The most common issue is java.
- After everything has a green check mark beside it, click on the login button
- Enter your username, staff is first initial & last name. Students use their student number.
- Enter your password, staff have them issued from IT Services. Students use their birthdate (YYMMDD)
TRU LMS Conference in GroupWise
A conference (shared folder) called eLearn is available in GroupWise to ask questions and discuss LMS issues at TRU. If you would like to join this conference contact IT Services (see contact information below). This conference replaced the old webct e-mail list.
