Project Management Process

Practicing project management and using formal methodology and best practices has consistenty proven to reduce costs, improve project results and lower risks. However, project management is much more than that. It is a way to deliver change in the most beneficial way; allowing for optimal results.

The Project Management Office (PMO) provides a consultative role to projects by supplying guidance, leadership, training, and tools in program and project management and proactively advances University-wide project coordination, project prioritization, project management development, project quality standards, project risk mitigation, project resource planning and support for Information Technology governance and management.

  • The PMO strives to ensure adopted project management standards and practices are applied consistently and effectively across the projects portfolio.  Direct support, advisory assistance and training will be provided to elevate project management competencies and overall effectiveness.
  • The PMO is the ITS departmental point of contact for client relationships and service inquiries. Through proactive engagement with our stakeholders, the PMO builds and advances trusted partnerships by assisting clients in accessing existing services.
