DUTIES:
Seeking a curriculum developer to assist with the enhancement of the Professional Cook 1 and Professional Cook 2 Culinary Program. The specialization necessary will be in Aboriginal Cuisine. The successful candidate will develop instructional strategies and resources that embrace and integrate Aboriginal food preparation, traditional harvesting, food preservation, hunting techniques, feasting, and ceremonial celebration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Journeyperson Certificate
· Minimum of 5 years’ full-time work experience in a leadership role
· BC Instructor’s Diploma or equivalent
· Post-secondary teaching experience
· Demonstrated experience to work effectively with Aboriginal communities, cuisine and culture preferred
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: November 26, 2012 to March 29, 2013
