Thompson Rivers University is giving you the chance to own three unique items and help our worthy charity, the TRU Foundation. As part of the 2012 Foundation Gala, the items below will be available on Ebay beginning January 26th. The auctions will run for 10 days and end during the Gala event on February 4th.
All proceeds from this auction will benefit the TRU Foundation and assist in providing financial support to TRU students and TRU's programs and projects.

Mosaic Tile by William Frymire
“Great Horned Owl Eyes” is Mosaic Tile Piece by artist Bill Frymire
William Frymire is an artist from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. With over 25 years experience working as a commercial artist, he made the switch to producing fine art in 2008. Using his computer graphic and photographic background, he developed a technique to create images in three dimensions out of real world objects.
Completed in October 2011, a roadside injured Great Horned Owl nursed back to health served as inspiration for this piece. Comprised of 1734 marble and travertine tiles of various heights, it measures 31” x 21” and weighs approximately 22 lbs. The piece has a custom frame behind it, which enables the image to appear to float on the wall.
If the piece is purchased locally in Kamloops, the artist will install the piece for the successful bidder.

Hand Carved Sterling Silver Bracelet by Metis Artist, Terry Jackson - Value: $400
Terry Jackson is a Metis artist who has 35 years of experience in the carving traditions of the Northwest Coast, European Scroll and Plains geometry methods. His work has been collected around the globe and customers include Hollywood celebrities like Glenn Close, Ed Asner and the late, John Candy. This bracelet depicts the Butterfly, a beautiful spirit on earth who gives us little glimpses into the wonders of the spirit world. The bracelet is sterling silver 18 gauge hand carved and finished with stippling, a hammered effect for the background.
