TRU Entrance Scholarships

Application Deadline: March 1, 2010

Please note that application for all scholarships are made on the same application form, except for the Transfer Scholarship.

The application form must be completed in ink and may only be used to apply for TRU Entrance Scholarships.

TRU Entrance Scholarships are available to Canadian Citizens or Landed Immigrants. The Minimum Academic Requirement is an 80% or higher average in your top five Grade 11 academic subjects.

  • TRU Ambassador's Entrance Scholarship PDF Document
    Awards of $12,000 each (minimum 8 awards) ($3,000 per year, renewable over four years)

    These "open" scholarships are available to first time students who have not previously attended a college or university, to recognize academic excellence based on admission averages in the 'core subjects', and leadership and community service, through documentation.  Students offered this award also accept the responsibility of some level of participation in representing the university at specific activities during the academic year.

  • TRU President's Entrance Scholarship PDF Document
    Awards of $3,000 each (minimum 25 awards)

    These "open" scholarships are available to all first time students who have not previously attended a college or university.  This scholarship recognizes student academic excellence based on admission averages in the core subjects.

  • TRU Leadership Entrance Scholarship PDF Document
    Awards of $3,000 each (minimum 5 awards)

    This scholarship recognizes leadership, through documented references, combined with solid academic performance.

  • TRU Community Service Entrance Scholarship PDF Document
    Awards of $1000 each (minimum 25 awards)

    This scholarship recognizes community service, through documented references, combined with solid academic performance.

  • TRU President's Open Transfer Scholarship PDF Document
    Awards of $2,000 each (minimum 5 awards)

    These "open" scholarships are available to students transferring from another college or university to attend TRU to complete a degree program.  This award is based upon academic standing, and students must have been attending post-secondary full-time in the previous year.  (NOTE: After March 1, this application only will continue to be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until July 31).
