Important Notice!

Lot N (behind the TRU Residence and Conference Centre) has been expanded and paved!  The parking rate for this lot is now $3.00 per day.  Thank you. 

Carpooling

Thompson Rivers University is committed to reducing the number of single occupancy vehicles (SOVs).  Effective January 1, 2010, carpools will be a minimum of TWO persons arriving together at the same time.

Carpool parking permits are available at a discounted rate.  See Carpool Application for more information and to register.

Parking Permits and Information

Long Term Parking Permits must be purchased through E-Permits  with the exception of annual staff permits available through payroll deduction or payable by cash, cheque, debit card or credit card (Visa, Master Card or Amex).

All vehicles parked on campus must display a valid TRU parking permit, a valid ticket purchased from a parking ticket dispenser, or be registered with E-Permits.

Please be sure you are parked in an appropriate stall and that your proof of payment is clearly displayed. Pay parking is in effect between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.   Parking rates at TRU are in effect year round with the exception of weekends, statutory holidays and days when TRU is officially closed.  Please note that parking rates are in effect during Reading Break (Reading Break is not considered a holiday).

Any motor vehicle parked, operated, or driven on campus shall be solely at the risk of the owner and the operator.  Thompson Rivers University shall not be liable for any damage occasioned to any such motor vehicle, the operator, other occupants thereof or any person unless such damage has resulted from negligence of the servant or agent of the University acting in the course and within the scope of his employment.

Employees and students are encouraged to use public transportation and car pools whenever possible.  For further carpool or transit information please refer to:  www.carpool.ca and www.transitbc.com

To help prevent theft from vehicles, please ensure that valuables are not left in vehicles or are locked in the trunk.  Even better, leave valuables at home
