TRU Campus Fitness presents:  Express Circuit.  This 40 minute class will provide participants with a fun and energetic atmosphere using a combination of strenth and cardio exercises.  The use of stability balls, bands, medicine balls, weights and body weight exercises will ensure you get a complete workout in a minimum amount of time.  This class will be adapted for all levels of fitness.  There are two classes every Monday; 11:40 - 12:20, and again at 12:40 - 1:20.  Choose the class that suits your schedule.

TRU Campus Fitness 2010 - Tabata Technique.  Intense effort is what you will need in this full body circuit class.  We'll blitz all major muscle groups by pushing, pulling and stabilizing.  Using body weight, stabilizing equipment and Tabata technique, you will burn more calories, tone your entire body and become functinally fit.  Challenge yourself!  Class sequence: 20 sec Max Effort and Max Speed, 10 sec Compete Rest x 8 sets.

  Scientifique Cafe: Healthy Small Cities & Communities: The Importance of Context and Place.

Julie Drolet will present her study on the responses and adaptions of small cities and rural communities to climate change.  It is a global imperative to better understand how local communities view problems and solutions and to identify innovative ways to moderate and adapt to climate change.  Natalie Clark will share the findings of a project to explore transitional experiences for youth in a small city and rural context.  Inclusion of the voices of youth can provide a rich understanding of the complexities of healthy youth transitions in Kamloops and surrounding rural communities.  Implications for social work practice and policy will be shared, including advocacy and knowledge translation emerging from the research.

TRU Recreation & TRU WolfPack are teaming up for Hockey Night In The Loops!  Section R at Memorial Arena will be reserved for TRU Recreation when TRU WolfPack host the SFU Clansmen.  The first 100 TRU Students to attend the game will receive a Property Of TRU Recreation T-Shirt which they can wear during the game - thus creating a vibrant wave of orange and black.  T's will be distributed at the main entrance at Memorial Arena.  FREE hockey tickets may be picked up from the Campus Recreation Office located in the TRU Gym, room G303 at any time after January 28th.  Free Pizza and pop will be served to TRU Students, so please bring valid TRU Student ID to the game.  Prizes, Draws and More!!  For more information please contact: Pina Russo at prusso@tru.ca

TRU Campus Fitness presents:  Express Circuit.  This 40 minute class will provide participants with a fun and energetic atmosphere using a combination of strenth and cardio exercises.  The use of stability balls, bands, medicine balls, weights and body weight exercises will ensure you get a complete workout in a minimum amount of time.  This class will be adapted for all levels of fitness.  There are two classes every Wednesday; 11:40 - 12:20, and again at 12:40 - 1:20.  Choose the class that suits your schedule.
