- The Major Junior Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League have graduated dozens of players to the National Hockey League. Among the alumni currently in the NHL: Jarome Iginla, Shane Doan, Mark Recchi, Erik Christensen, Scottie Upshall, Robyn Regehr, Shaone Morrisonn, Colton Orr, Kris Versteeg, Devan Dubnyk, Jason Strudwick. The Blazers play out of the 5,500-seat Interior Savings Centre.

- Music in the Park - live music everyday from 7-8:30pm during July & August at the Rotary Bandshell in Riverside Park
