Student bursaries
Any FULL-TIME graduate student, currently registered in a Masters or PhD program at a recognized institution is eligible to apply for a bursary that will cover UP TO 90% of the full conference fee. The EDC has set aside a maximum of $2,000 for this initiative for the Winter Conference 2010. This amount will be divided equally among graduate students who apply. The bursary can be used only for conference fees, not accommodation or other costs. The maximum individual amount available is $302.40 for the pre-conference and conference or $255.15 for the two-day conference. This amount may be reduced, depending on the number of applications.
To apply, please email Gary Hunt (gahunt@tru.ca) identifying yourself as a graduate student (full-time), your university and program, your interest and involvement in educational development, and your reasons for wishing to attend the Winter Conference.
Bursary applications must be received by DECEMBER 31, 2009 to be considered. Applicants will be advised of the status of their application by JANUARY 15TH to facilitate their conference registration and planning.
