Eligibility
The following activities are not eligible for funding:
- Completing a graduate degree or obtaining professional designations
- Serving on academic or professional committees
- Editing academic or professional journals, or editing a book
- Attending conferences or workshops
The maximum value of an Open Learning Research Award is $10,000. Applications can be made for any amount between $500 and $10,000, which could include funds for course release. Applications will be accepted as long as funds dedicated to this initiative are available from Open Learning. The funds may be issued as a grant or as a course release.
The OL Research Award Committee will consist of a Chair (AVP-OL), Co-Chair (Director, ID), Academic Directors (Open Learning), and the Director of PLAR. The committee will assess applications and will recommend successful applications to the Vice President, Open Learning, for funding.
