Scholarship of Teaching Technologies Centre

The SCOTT Centre aims to support study, analysis, reflection and dissemination that contribute to a deeper understanding of the relationship between technologies, teaching and learning. The Centre is headed by Dr. Friesen and currently funded by grants issued by the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

CASTL Program

TRU is a Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) Affiliate. The CASTL Program seeks to support the development of a scholarship of teaching and learning that: fosters significant, long-lasting learning for all students; enhances the practice and profession of teaching; and brings to faculty members' work as teachers the recognition and reward afforded to other forms of scholarly work. Affiliation status will support TRU in the early stages of our commitment to the scholarship of teaching and learning.
