Diploma in Adult Education
This is a seven course program that offers instructors in-depth development of their teaching expertise. Designed for working educators, it provides advanced skills in:

Why Should I Take This Program?
The Diploma in Adult Education is built on the knowledge and skills developed in the BC Provincial Instructor Diploma Program and further enriches an instructor's competency. Course credit can be applied to some Bachelor's Degree programs in British Columbia.

Pre-Requisites
- Have completed the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or equivalent
- Be currently employed as an instructor, trainer, or program administrator in education or training
- Have a specialized field or profession with recognized education, training, and qualifications
Outcomes of the Program
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in Adult Education you will be able to:
- Practice curriculum design and implementation with improved knowledge and appreciation
- Incorporate digital technology, computer media, and related technology in the learning environment
- Apply social learning theory through the use of group and cooperative learning techniques and strategies
- Develop teaching and learning strategies that address the central issues in dealing with multi-cultural, multi-lingual students
- Incorporate appropriate instructional techniques that reflect current learning principles from cognitive psychology and brain research
- Practice instructional leadership in an ethical and professional manner in order to encourage program and faculty development
- Improve adult learning through the application of concepts derived from human development research
Registration and Course Fees
New students are required to submit an Application for Admission
, $30.00 application fee and documents supporting your area of expertise. You may enroll for courses at the location of your choice on receiving your "Letter of Acceptance".
