BC Provincial Instructor Diploma Program
This seven course program provides instructors with the skills needed to design, manage, and evaluate the instruction of adults in:
- Post-secondary education
- Business
- Industry
- Non-traditional adult learning environments

The BC Provincial Instructor Diploma attracts students from diverse backgrounds. A typical class includes instructors from:

What Do I Receive?
Graduates of the program receive a provincial diploma endorsed by the BC Minister of Advanced Education. This diploma is recognized by many public and private post-secondary institutions.
Participants can receive the Train the Trainer Certificate upon completion of ID 3101, 3102, and 3104.

There are seven courses in this diploma program:
- Reflective Practice (ID 3101)
- Instructional Techniques (ID 3102)
- Instructional Media (ID 3103)
- Evaluation of Learning (ID 3104)
- Evaluation of Instruction (ID 3105)
- Elements of Instruction (ID 3106)
- Practicum (ID 3107)
How is the Program Offered?
Each course is 30 hours and delivered on weekends, weeknights, and weekdays. Five of the six classroom courses are available online. See the course schedule

Admission Requirements
- Have a specialized field or profession with recognized education, experience, and qualifications
- A one page letter of introduction describing career goals as an instructor
- A letter of reference from an employer indicating current or potential ability in teaching/training role
or
A letter of recommendation from a public or private post-secondary instructor or administrator indicating abilities as a potential instructor

Upon successful completion of the BC Provincial Instructor Diploma, you will be able to:

Registration and Course Fees
New students are required to submit an Application for Admission
, $30.00 application fee and documents supporting your area of expertise. You may enroll for courses at the location of your choice on receiving your "Letter of Acceptance".
