Conferences and Organizations

The Centre for Teaching and Learning supports several on campus events that focus on the sharing of innovative developments in teaching at Thompson Rivers University.   The annual conference; Teaching Practices Colloquium is held on the first Monday of Spring Break in February.  Faculty are invited to submit proposals as well as encouraged to attend the Teaching Practices Colloquium. If you are interested in serving on the committee please contact the Centre for Teaching and Learning for further information. 

There are numerous organizations that support effective teaching in Canada. Thompson Rivers University is an institutional member of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE).   Faculty are encouraged to take out individual memberships and become involved in the annual conference held in June of each year.
