Centre for Teaching and Learning

Welcome to the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

The Centre was established May 2006 with the intent that faculty would be supported in their efforts to ensure that scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning is a central focus of Thompson Rivers University. We are a teaching focused university.

The mandate of the centre is

  • To establish a supportive learning environment for faculty to explore, practice, and reflect on effective and create innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
  • To support exploration and integration of new technologies by faculty.
  • To provide research and scholarship training.
  • To facilitate opportunities for faculty to develop and/or enhance their leadership and administrative skills.
  • To foster collaboration and communication among faculty.
