Project Management

Because we are a Cost Recovery Department, there are no refunds once a course starts.  Courses are checked one week prior to the start of each course & if there are not enough registrants, the course will be cancelled. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY. To receive a refund, a person must withdraw one week prior to the start of the course.  If the course falls on a Saturday or Sunday a withdrawal must be done the Friday previous.  If the course is cancelled a full refund will be issued.  Costs for courses can change periodically.


Project Management Tools and Techniques (WORK 026)

This 16 hour course is designed for new project managers who want an overview of the project management framework based on the standards of the Project Management Institute (PMI). It provides a comprehensive overview of project management techniques so you can effectively plan, manage, and control projects based on the standards of the PMI. Theory and practical examples of these methodologies are provided in an interactive format. You gain skills that you can apply immediately on the job.  You learn to master basic project management skills, methodologies, and tools to enable you to prioritize goals, recruit and manage high performing teams, create a work breakdown structure that makes your projects easier to manage, establish reliable project budgets and schedules, implement project tracking techniques, and create effective strategies to control the project budget, schedule, and quality. Both the technical and soft skill sides of project management are covered.

Project Management Professional Certification Exam (WORK 019)

PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute is the industry standard for demonstrating competence and a solid foundation of project management skills. This workshop prepares participants to write the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam and provides the 35 hour educational credits required for new applications. All official exam topics are covered using PMI framework.

The program features:
