The objective of AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT 2012 Essentials is to enable students to create a basic 2D drawing in AutoCAD. Even at this fundamental level, AutoCAD is one of the most sophisticated computer applications that you are likely to encounter. Therefore, learning to use it can be challenging.
This training guide covers the essential core topics for working with AutoCAD. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that enable the student to create and edit a simple drawing, and then continue to develop those tools. More advanced tools are introduced throughout the training guide. Not every command or option is covered, because the intent is to show the most essential tools and concepts, such as:
• Understanding the AutoCAD workspace and user interface.
• Using basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools.
• Organizing drawing objects on layers.

Accounting on the Microcomputer (Simply Accounting Level 2) (XPCS 0240)

This 30 hour course will use Simply Accounting Software. The main objective of the course is to introduce the payroll module of Simply Account and some of the more advanced functions and capabilities of Simply Accounting. It is designed for computer users who are already familiar with accounting with work experience in the basic operations of Simply Account and who have completed Level 1. Upon successful completion of this course the learner will be able to:
1. Create a new company data files without using a Chart of Accounts template, enter the opening balances and enter historical data.
2. Set up sales taxes, Credit cards accepted and used and link the account.
3. Set up the bank reconciliation feature and reconcile bank account.
4. Set up and work with Canadian Payroll, create and modify employee record, link payroll accounts, generate payroll advances and payroll cheque, view, adjust and void payroll transactions and handle WCB.
